Our Founder

Vivek Khabya, a serial entrepreneur and a seasoned industry leader, manages multiple businesses of Wootz Global Group across geographies as its Managing Director. Since 2014, the journey of Wootz Global has been synonymous with his personal growth and achievements. Like a true leader, he has been responsible for the Company’s operations across continents including Asia, Africa and Latin America (LATAM).

Over the last six years, Wootz’s business has diversified into multiple industries. Under his guidance, the Group has also set up its operations across several parts of the world through new entities such as Ranaji Global, Arus Jaya Oil and Gas, Arges Global and Akkad Bakkad Ventures. Having started as a commodity trading company, Wootz Global under his leadership expanded its business all through these years, Vivek has been instrumental in executing the expansion across geographies and establishing the business network across these regions.

Prior to joining Wootz as its fulltime managing director, he was the Chief Executive Officer at Salgaocar Asia and headed the Group’s shipping, property and commodity trading division, directly managing group finance, accounts and audit, strategy, legal and running the family office. Prior to this, he was the executive director at Singapore Star Shipping.

Before his work in the shipping industry, he was a banker for over a decade and managed branches and private banking portfolio for high-net-worth-individuals in Asia for Citibank and IndusInd Bank.
